episode 20 is one of the best anime fights!!

i just finished watching the full series. and i must say I adored the series, yet i still don't know what to think of the ending... this is my first 10 on "mylist" because the story was well written all the main chacters were given enough back story to make thier roles believable. the (japanese) voice acting was perfect for each character. I personally am a "subs over dubs" kinda guy, but even if i wasn't i'd say the english version misses alot of the undertones and subtly. The art work especially for being older was very well done. the story had no plot holes that i can . and though they pulled off the finally in a matter of 60 mins (40 for just the total finale, episode before is back story, but very valuable) it was well put together and not to slow or fast. I would highly recomend this anime to anyone even if the first two episodes kinda seem slow/pointless.

It was in top ten some time ago. Can't understand it why it isn't there now.

This should be in the top ten, and also one of the few anime I can give a ten. A very enjoyable anime.

A masterpiece without a doubt...

Definitely overrated. A space mission series. The action is boring in my opinion. I don't know if the series was worth watching for the sake of the "classic-ness" only. I suppose a lot of people who know nothing of technique watch this because I heard that the less-than-amateurish fighting was good quite often.

- Excellent Soundtrack
- And an atmosphere which cannot be topped in Classicness

Now with the remastered version it was finally time for a re-watch and it is still as good as it was back when i watched it for the first time. What makes it good in my eyes is that it brings opposing elements neatly together. For example the episodic story telling and the longer stretching background stories of the characters or the relationship between them which could be described as "together living alone". The soundtrack is the icing on the cake, it is easily one of the best I have come across.

I hope you said this after watching the whole series. Otherwise your opinion is not valid.

it's pretty good, but I dont think it's as great as a lot of people let on... The soundtrack is different, but as an avid listenner of jazz, I don't feel it is "excellent" as so many say it is.

I often compare it with Trigun (because of same age and popularity) and I think this is better. More enjoyable characters.

Anyone who watched the series and didnt like it even a bit should not watch anime anymore. I mean it.

I don't like such (open) endings, ain't perfect.
