I cannot believe I'm going to say this.
I've just finished rewatching it after 24 years and the verdict is this:
This series, which I watched all those years ago years ago, and which was my second favorite after Saber Rider, is a bag of crap.
There I said it.
But I still cannot believe it.

The character development is childish, if existing, and it has so many plotholes I gave up on counting. Even for a space-alliens-shonen of that time.
Why? Just why? WHY DAMN IT?

A rehash of Space Battleship Yamato but cool for what it was going for at that time. And yes the characters suck. I was more interested in what the villains were doing.
