Hasegawa Shin'ya was born July 28, 1968 in Tokyo, Japan. He is an animator, animation director and character designer.
After graduating from the Tokyo Designer Gakuin he ed with Ashi Productions and moved later to Toei Douga where he was working as animation director on the Sailor Moon series. Starting with Utena, where he was character designer and art director, he moved to J.C.Staff, where he today still is at.
