Kusunoki Michiharu was born 25th January 1957 in Tosa, Kochi Prefecture, Japan. He is a manga artist most known for the street racing series Wangan Midnight, which has been adapted into anime and a series of successful arcade driving videogames.
He made his debut in 1979 with the car racing manga Akogareno Shiroi Sports Car (あこがれの白いスポーツカー) which received serialisation in Akita's Weekly Shounen Champion.
Other manga series created by Kusunoki include J Monogatari, Shakotan Boogie, and December, all by Japanese publisher Kodansha.
He made his debut in 1979 with the car racing manga Akogareno Shiroi Sports Car (あこがれの白いスポーツカー) which received serialisation in Akita's Weekly Shounen Champion.
