I watch depending on the mood. From 0 to ~10-12h per day. Average is according to anidb around 1,74h/per day (~5 episodes), but some crazy approximation happened there.

Cool, I also use the WD Green drives as they seems to be extremely reliable.
Let me know how the reds turn out, I looked at them but this time around their higher cost held me back.
Maybe when I build another box I'll give those a try.
Completely forgot about this
The RED's run perfectly and temp around 30 celcius.
Going to add number 7 soon.

Lol, yeah the network is sadly the contraint even SATA2 runs at 300MB/s per drive so with a raid setup you can do a lot more. Multiple adapters would be nice.
The case is that I copy from RAID to single disk. I am thinking that the bottleneck here is what that single disk can manage for write speed. My network should be able to handle faster speed, as I build it for speed. But I buy my disks for low power needs. LOL
I agree with @LoveJoyDK, FreeFileSync is awesome!
Used it to backup my drives before I moved over to a NAS.

Adding to my other post ing a NAS for file storage.
I have started to use a new program to make backups of my files, and I would like to recommend it to others as I find it very usefull for at least my needs.
I was not happy with the build in backup solution in my nas. Slow speed and not so easy to set up.
So with help from google I found FreeFileSync (program name to google is: FreeFileSync) Though I did have to kiss some other frogs before I found my prinses
It runs under windows, so I need to have both the NAS and a PC with windows on the same network for it to work.
I use 3TB disk, that I just connect to the PC when it is powered down. esata would work too.
FreeFileSync can save backup tasks, so all I need to do each time, is to pick the right task, for the right share and let it first check, and then syncronize.
On my GB network I get copy speed between 70 - 110 mb/s. Better than anything I have testet before I found FreeFileSync. And I only have SATA 2 controllers.
If you are looking for backup solutions, then FreeFileSync is what I would recommend you to try first.
probably not I imagine. I assume it offers some pretty good disk performance as well, considering its pricetag? but you got some nice storage there. Thank you for sharing

So, how much anime do any of you watch on any given day?
To be honest I usually watch three episodes a day when I can....

but I am starting to replace them with
WD Red WD30EFRX 3 TB. But those are not on the compatible list for my NAS. So I am moving very slowly and carefully.
For the backup on single disk it is the green one I use.
