Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru is a surprisingly warm-hearted series. Normally with a set-up like what it has you'd expect a lot of ecchi. Instead, there's fairly little ecchi, and a the characters are all kind and likable. The only anime I'm familiar with that has a similar tone is Mahoraba, if that helps.
It's worth noting that certain plot elements, the school uniforms, and even a character or two seem to be lifted from Strawberry Panic.
Animation:
High quality animation, with bright colours that help set the mood. On the down side, the character designs aren't that great, and the style for the super-deformed versions of the characters are downright horrific.
Sound:
Fairly good sound. Nothing stood out, for better or for worse.
Story:
Not really much story. Most of it is episodic, and the ending arc is transitioned into poorly. The ending itself is something of an anticlimax.
Character:
The characters are all nice people, while still be unique and fun to watch. They each manage to have their own problems with out ever seeming whiny or self-centered.
