Anime: Hyouken no Majutsushi ga Sekai o Suberu 4b6x6r

This anime started with promise as it follows the MC attending a prestigious noble academy while being a commoner. What I enjoyed in the beginning was the MC proving himself and the trials he has to overcome. However, as the series progresses, this gets generic and by the end, nothing stood out. Overall, this was ok... as the beginning was promising but deviates from that and was an alright watch by the end.

This tries to be like that high school magic anime, except this one is vastly inferior. The MC tries to play a role, but the author doesn't know how to make it cool. The author also likes to hide the MC's potential, but does it poorly. The MC's most epic fights had worse animation/grandiosity than the side characters (Amelia, Lydia, Abbie). Also, the MC barely reveals the extent/foundations of his powers in this whole series. I don't know why anidb lists Amelia & Elisa as MCs cause Rebecca seemed equal to Amelia. After watching 12 eps, it seems the show has at least 5 girls in the harem, and probably the mains are Amelia, Rebecca, and Ariane. But I'm assuming all 5 will be mains.

Very mixed feelings about this one.

The story revolves around the MC who is the "Supposed" strongest sorcerer, however, there is very little action surrounding him at all.

The concept of how magic is used in this anime is pretty interesting, but overall it just LACKED REFINEMENT.

There are some great moments which are animated pretty well, the side characters are likeable as well.

There's just little reason to watch this over different series that just do a better job overall.

The story felt rushed and bland at times, and because of this and VERY little build-up, big moments that unveil the plot just don't BITE as well as they should.

All in all, its a decent watch if you wanna watch some mindless harem, with a touch of cool fantasy. Just don't go into this one expecting much.

Actually it was pretty mediocre as for OP character. Maybe because there is generally no action, just 2 major fights where MC doesn't really show off? It's not bad at all, you still have harem, academy life, some slight romance in the background, I enjoyed it. Just don't expect too much either.

It's not a gem, nor it is any bad, but it does have some potential. I really liked the voice cast and the fact that MC was quite composed. The drawback for me personally was the last episode battle which was a farse and felt either too rushed or that it had been put there just to be there. The second drawback is quite severe resemblance to Rakudai Kishi and not only character-wise, but story-wise. All-in-all, it's good but nothing spectacular, I had higher expectations. Let's see if the second season, if ever, will rectify the situation.
