Altair is a (pseudo-)historical drama that realistically deals with the depths of power, cooperation, and conflict in the late middle ages from the view of an emergent political leader. It is one of the best shows out there to seriously deal with politics and will also please every viewer interested in history.
Unfortunately is has some shortcomings: The pacing of the story is very fast and skips things like character development, the animation is at times lacking, the first episodes are lackluster.
Because of this I skipped this show in the beginning, but after starting again and watching up to episode eight, I was hooked until the end.
