Meh. I've read some of the manga. I don't know if the story eventually develops a plot or not. Premise-wise, this is your typical oppressively-overpowered-student-council-arena-battle-tower-climb story. MC's a guy, a fanboi loser who puppy-dogs the heroine who gets off (well, intellectually, not necessarily sexually) on risk. Personally, I think the premise alone means that it's a total waste of budget and time slot, but I imagine that if adapted properly, this one might be... all right...? It seems like a lot of effort went into the manga, at least.

I mean, Kaiji's protag was scumbag outside of his meaningful life that's gambling, so if I consider that, this series actually isn't that bad, honestly. Hell, at least in this series people are trying to get somewhere. Kaiji still has no purpose goal in his life, for fucks sake, after how many volumes of manga was it been?
I no like this stupid anime.Only girls and one gay!WTF
I kinda like how the word gay is used as an insult from many (stupid) people. And how in anime, the male MC doesn't immediately bang all girls in one go.

Even if you described it very well and I thought I had a clue about what I was going to watch I was not prepared.
I'm left with a feeling of "Dafuq did I just watch???" and that's about it.
I thought most of it was crappy, to be honest. The animations, the music, the script, the characters... random ugly ero-faces... Nah. I think I'm out.

Stupid people reacted like you'd expect. Insult level of a ten-year-old.

@NekoNadia Yeah, quite honestly, I wasn't expecting it to be this bad even on the lower end of my expectations scale. This is just stupid ridiculous. It's like a twelve-year-old is producing it. (No offense to any twelve year olds out there.)
I'm considering watching ep two anyway though. Just to see ~How Bad It Is~ because sometimes it's mildly entertaining to see just how awful something can become.
it's a stupid and over the top premise treated as over the top as possible. Both in the manga and in the anime.
This isn't an unintentional comedy, it's COMPLETELY intentional.
That's why it's so enjoyable.
Anyway, if the over the top production drops in quality, it might not be so fun anymore.
Unlike Prison School, the writing and characters aren't good by themselves to carry the series.
Jabami is still top grade waifu material tho.
What do you do if you want to make an intense gambling series like Kaiji, but posess neither the creativity nor the wit required for it? Fill the void with big titted crazy sluts!
With that said it still has an appeal and it's fun for what it is, but so far that's all this is. But what annoys me is that on other sites people are loving it for all the wrong reasons, because as far as the gambles go, this is garbage.
